I was a Bradley guy in the 2000 primaries, but I was genuinely upset by Gore's "defeat". I was upset with him for a long time for not fighting for it and fighting as dirty as Bush did after the recounts started. I was and am more upset that Gore didn't serve as president. I think that given the right circumstances, he could have been a better president than Clinton. I think Gore would be a good president. It's a weird situation. I just have this feeling about him that what a loss to the country it'd be to not have him as our leader. Smart, driven, thoughtful, and a genuinely good guy. In a lot of ways, I see him as the next Bill Clinton. Without the obvious baggage. Although I think John Edwards is pretty fantastic, I think Gore is ready to lead this country out of all this bullshit, and I think probably 55-60 percent, maybe more, of the U.S. is ready to be led.
